![]() I fully planned on never posting at all, but I had to get this off my chest. See more ideas about cooking recipes, salad recipes, delicious salads. I joined Reddit in November and this is my first post. Explore Julie Oesterle's board 'The Big Salad', followed by 130 people on Pinterest. Can anyone help me feel better about this? But in this case, I keep feeling like it's not as funny as it could be because I'm distracted by how Julie is pretty wrong. Getting into a slow-speed chase by a mob of seniors on scooters. Flying to Ohio just to tell someone the jerk store called. George's actions are consistently of the "Who does that?" variety. One of the genius aspects of Seinfeld comedy is that these guys are all idiots and their behavior is universally considered unacceptable. Are you suggesting that I went out of my way to tell Elaine that even though you handed her the big salad, that it came from me? Julie: Well, my question is, How could Elaine be under the impression that you bought the big salad, when I was the one who handed it to her? George: Ha, ha ha uh, I'm not following that. Julie: Well, when I came over to the table she mentioned something about how she better hurry up and leave or you'd make her buy lunch to make up for the one you bought yesterday. Julie and George run into Elaine and Jerry while theyre on. But isn't Julie even more petty for noticing this? If it's really as trivial as she says, then why would she 1) pick up on this at all, and 2) actually bring it up in conversation specifically to question him about it? Julie is the woman whom George dates in The Big Salad she was portrayed by Michelle Forbes. Julie can't believe how petty George is for taking credit for buying the salad when she was the one who handed it to Elaine. Elaine is irritated at George for making a point of such a trivial matter, and briefly vents to Julie about this. Indicating that the woman, despite her being able to discuss her favorite newspaper columnists (yawn)-together with her apparent humorlessness-(Jerry cracks a joke in the beginning of the episode, and he gets nothing out of her)- really isn't all she's cracked up to be.I hate that I have this issue because one of the many things I love about Seinfeld is that it doesn't take itself seriously and you don't have to get hung up on stupid things like holes in logic. Julie is so irate that George told Elaine she didnt buy the salad that she breaks up with him.laine must find a special mechanical pencil, the Rolamech 1000, for Mr. Secondly, I'm sorry, but she most certainly should have mentioned that George paid for the item when presenting it to Elaine.Lastly, when confronted about it, she shows no remorse despite the fact that he does, indeed, have a point. Or, at least, he wasn't 100% wrong.First, right off the bat, she shouldn't have even picked up the package containing the salad when it was placed on the table at the diner when they were leaving. He was dead on at being upset with his girlfriend for overstepping her mark. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. We're supposed to always think that George is a horse's ass, and therefore could never possibly be right about something. ![]() However, the episode does has one saving grace(and, the bit with Newman having previously dumped Jerry's current girlfriend was inventive). A REAL murder? In a situation comedy? No. And the subplot involving the baseball catcher killing the dry cleaner is more than just a bit distasteful.
